Maria Toumazou is a visual artist based in Nicosia. Toumazou works mainly with sculpture, shaping objects, materials, and situations through creative processes that are informed by site and biography.

For phenomenon 5, Toumazou exhibited a series of works that were dispersed in the various rooms of the Corner House. Perceiving the house itself as a clock, Toumazou explored the notion of time through light, both through its presence and absence. Like another sundial, her works were activated by the natural light, measuring time through its shades and reflections.
