Chopper (Pipatpong Seepeng)
bed sheet & mannequin, 2026
40 × 70 × 190 cm

“It’s not a ghost; it was just a bedsheet & mannequin.”
Traced from the artist’s own body, this sculpture was first intended to be a model for his dresses, to make the process of making clothes easier to measure and examine. But to make the ‘home’ exhibition complete, the dresses hanging around needed a figure-like skin needs a soul. By using a discarded bedsheet from when the artist worked as a housekeeper on a remote island in Thailand, this piece holds personal memories, labor, and the touches of so many people.
