Eridanus (Paris), 2017

Digital slide show of 60 images, set of 60 photographs, map
Variable dimensions
Edition of 5

The project Eridanus, comprising a map of the capital and a slideshow of photographs, was created in Paris. Starting from the observation that public lighting makes it difficult to see the stars, the artist wandered through Paris, following the reversed path of the Eridanus constellation and turning off, at each of the 60 points on the path, 60 public streetlights. This constellation formed by darkness, redirecting the gaze toward the stars, culminated at Galerie Allen, where the work was exhibited.
